Chronic Dieting & Body Image
Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore and address the underlying thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to chronic dieting and negative body image. This can include examining societal and cultural pressures related to body image, identifying and challenging negative self-talk and beliefs, and developing healthier coping strategies. The ultimate goal of therapy is to help individuals develop a more positive and compassionate relationship with their body, cultivate greater self-acceptance, and achieve a healthier and more balanced approach to food and body image. We will work together to learn and develop the skills and strategies that fit to your specific need, in order to overcome these challenges and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Adolescent Care
I understand that as a parent, witnessing your child struggle with an eating disorder can be an incredibly challenging and distressing experience. My therapy services for adolescents aim to provide you and your child with the support and guidance needed to navigate this difficult journey towards healing and recovery. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and psychoeducation. We combine evidence-based approaches with creative and engaging techniques tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of young individuals, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems, and expressive art therapy. By integrating these approaches, we address the underlying emotional, psychological, and familial factors that contribute to the development and maintenance of the eating disorder.
Experience & Training
I started with a MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from The European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. While in school, I provided art therapy for patients with traumatic brain injuries. I relocated to Washington State and spent two years as a therapist at The Telecare Thurston-Mason Evaluation and Treatment Center. I transitioned to eating disorder counseling in 2020 with The Emily Program, Seattle Residential. I spent three years treating patients with severe and/or enduring disordered eating. Presently, I am a therapist with The Eating Recovery Center in their Virtual IOP program. Throughout my career, I have been trained in many effective and evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed treatment.
